MUSIC AND MOVEMENT

AulavirtualmusicaJunior covers basic musical knowledge for kids between 4 and 7 years old. It is based on a new methodological concept which incorporates the best technology and our own musical learning processes; and it is the previous step offered by Aulavirtualmusica before elementary and professional music education.

This conception is developed by creating a large number of activities within a huge resource library. Teachers can select the activities available to students and create custom programs for each group, so that students access only to those picked contents.

Resource library

Thanks to all the interactive online activities, most of the practice outcomes will be recorded on the platform and the teacher will thus be able to monitor the individual work of the sudents at home.

Students and their parents will have access to the items that have been worked on in the classroom or programmed by the teachers, so they can consolidate learning from home.

Activity log through stars

Teachers will have access to a large resource library (updated regularly) to create different session profiles and customise them for each group of students.

Songs

For this part we have designed songs to practice specific intervals according to age. Each song includes a help pictogram and can be played in two audio options: Solo and Karaoke.

Kodaly gestural system is also available, in order to strengthen intonation and practice singing real notes.

This section also allows to practice with interactive musicograms (with microphone detection) to work on the beat and rhythm through the song lyrics. It’s the perfect tool for voice training, singing intervals and playing to experiment with our vocal ranges.

Hearing

In this part we use interactive exercises to learn about sound qualities:

  • Customizable rhythmic dictations.
  • Instrument timbre learning
  • Real notes hearing
  • Rhythmic and melodic patterns recognition

Rhythm and small percussion

In this part we find different resources (all adapted to aour learning needs) to practise listening comprehension of the rhythm. This section includes:

  • Introduction to basic rhythms using rhythmic words.
  • Percumusic: An interactive application to train rhythm and timing through classical works.
  • Rhythmic canons: We use canons and visual resources to work in groups.
  • Body percussion: An application (adapted to different user levels and custumizable) to use the body to improve the sense of rhythm.
  • Interactive musicograms of classic pieces that students can play with virtual or real percussion instruments.
  • Additional tools: A series of resources to reinforce the internal sense of rhythm and help students to learn to keep time.

Instrumental Chimes and boomwhackers

Every song included in the Singing section will be available for students to be performed with both virtual and real instruments.

This part has a special tool for teachers to create their own interactive scores and work on them with students.

Dance and movement

This part shows a wide variety of dance and motion activities to learn basic movement, different dance styles, mind and body connection, motor skills, spatial awareness and balance, group participation, etc.

All resources are based on direct integration with digital contents to learn the steps of the dances, repeat or skip specific parts and learn about dances from different periods.

Theoretical concepts

In this part students will learn about the basic language of music and understand related concepts like music notes and their duration, pitch, writing and reading notes, rhythm, intervals, groups of instruments, etc.

All this learning process will be supported by digital resources such as stories, puzzles, printables and games.

Multiplayer games

In this part AulavirtualmusicaJunior offers a set of games to practice all the musical concepts displayed in the other sections and get the full potential of interactive digital panels/whiteboards:

  • “The musical goose”
  • Rhythmic bingo
  • The order of the scale
  • And many more musical games will be added in successive updates
